Welcome to Ross Baines Art. I am a contemporary artist based in the UK. I thrive on variety and enjoy painting a broad range of subjects that speak to different passions including movies, music, abstracts, portraits and sport, especially MMA. I sell original paintings and limited edition prints of my work. My preferred medium is acrylics on canvas.
I have clients and collectors all over the world particularly in the USA and my home country the UK. I enjoy taking on commissions and interesting projects, especially working closely with my clients to create something bespoke or as the perfect gift for someone special. As an independent artist I know that the personal touch is essential when both communicating with and creating art for my clients.
I’ve been a huge fan of MMA for as long as I can remember and it’s without doubt my favourite sport to watch. I love creating MMA art and I’m proud to say that I count many professional fighters and world champions as clients and owners of my work. These include Nate Diaz, Dustin Poirier, Max Holloway, Justin Gaethje, Daniel Cormier and Conor McGregor… not to mention Joe Rogan, Bruce Buffer and Dana White. I sometimes collaborate with UFC fighters and often have prints of my work personally signed by them. The UFC have also previously used my art to promote their events. Owners of my work from the boxing world include Tyson Fury, Anthony Joshua and Nick Blackwell.
As a big movie fan I really enjoy painting movie themed pieces. As a child of the 80’s I particularly love painting unique pieces that combine my love of classic movies and 80’s nostalgia. This has seen characters showing up in the most unexpected of places and some original movie mash-ups in my work.
